1 About these terms

Mu Movie is developed and operated by Xerot Technologies (“we”, “us”). These terms describe how the Mu Movie app and this website work and what we ask of the people who use them. By creating an account or using Mu Movie you agree to them.

2 The service

Mu Movie is a streaming app offering movies and series presented in Luganda. This website lets you browse the catalogue and read about the service and, once you are signed in, watch movies and series, subscribe, and download where your plan allows it.

The catalogue changes. Titles are added, and a title may be removed or become unavailable at any time.

3 Your account

You can browse the catalogue without an account. You need an account to watch, to download, to keep a My List and to subscribe.

An account is created with your name, your phone number and a password. An email address is optional. Your phone number is what you sign in with and can belong to one account only.

Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done through your account.

We may suspend an account. A suspended account cannot use the signed-in features of the service.

4 Devices

One account can be signed in on up to 2 devices. A browser you sign in to on this website counts as one of them. To use another device, remove one first in the app under Profile > Devices.

5 Free trial

A new account can watch without paying for 3 days, counted from the moment the account is created. The trial ends on its own.

The trial covers watching only. Downloading needs a paid subscription.

6 Subscriptions and payments

A subscription plan gives access for a fixed number of days. The plans on sale and their prices are shown in the app and on the Plans page of this website, in the currency you will be charged in.

Payments are taken by Pesapal, our payment provider, on Pesapal's own payment page. You enter your card or mobile money details there, not in the Mu Movie app.

Your subscription starts when Pesapal confirms your payment. If you pay again while a subscription is still running, the new days are added to the end of your current term.

Plans are not renewed or charged automatically. When a plan ends, access stops until you buy another.

We may change the plans and their prices. A change does not alter a plan you have already paid for.

7 Downloads

Subscribers can download titles in the app to watch them offline, and can download movie and episode files from this website. Downloads are for your own personal viewing only; the acceptable-use rules below apply to them.

8 Acceptable use

You must not reproduce or redistribute Mu Movie content without authorization, commercially redistribute downloaded content, circumvent the technical protections of the platform, attempt to extract or redistribute protected audiovisual content, or use Mu Movie to facilitate copyright infringement.

9 Content and copyright

The movies and series on Mu Movie belong to their respective rights holders. Using Mu Movie does not give you ownership of any content.

If you believe content on Mu Movie infringes your rights, contact us with enough information for us to identify the content and assess the claim.

10 Your privacy

11 Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time, in the app under Profile > Delete Account or on the account-deletion page of this website. Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone, and any remaining subscription time is lost.
